My Daily Du'a Flashcards – 29 Everyday Du'as for Home and Classroom

Children learn du'as best when they meet them at the right moment: at the table, by the front door, at bedtime. This bright, printable set gives you 29 everyday du'as, each on its own large card, in the order of a child's day from waking up to going to sleep. The cards are clear enough to hold up in front of a class and friendly enough for a child to read alone.

    What is on every card

    • The card number, from 1 to 29
    • When to say the du'a, such as Before Eating or Leaving the Home
    • A colourful picture that matches
    • Clear, large Arabic with tashkeel
    • An easy transliteration for those still learning to read Arabic
    • The meaning in English
    • A hadith or Qur'an reference

The du'as cover the whole day

    • Morning: waking up, entering and leaving the toilet, before and after wudu, getting dressed, looking in the mirror
    • Meals: before and after eating
    • Out and about: leaving and entering the home, entering and leaving the mosque, the market, travelling
    • Weather: rain, after the rain, wind and thunder
    • Family and learning: for parents, for gaining knowledge
    • Manners and feelings: sneezing, replying to a sneeze, feeling angry or scared, thanking someone, seeing something beautiful
    • Night: before sleeping

    For school and classroom teachers

There is no preparation beyond printing and cutting. Start the day with one du'a, hold the card up for the class to read together, and put it on the board. Use the lunchtime du'as before and after eating, and keep the weather cards ready for a rainy or windy day. Over a term the cards build into a wall display the class can refer back to.

For madrasah and Islamic studies teachers

The set works as a ready-made du'a memorisation unit. Teach one card per lesson, practise reading the Arabic with tashkeel, and use the numbered order for quick recall. The transliteration lets children who are not yet confident with Arabic script join in, and the reference on each card gives older students something to look up.

    For homeschooling families and parents

Put each card where its du'a is said: by the bed, the bathroom door, the table and the front door. Say the Arabic aloud for your child to copy, learn one du'a well, then add the next.

    For children and students

Each card tells you when to say the du'a and what it means, in words that are easy to understand. Read the cards on your own, test a friend, and tick off each du'a on the chart as you learn it.

    Two bonus cards

    • My Du'a Chart: all 29 du'as listed with a tick box beside each, to track progress
    • Parents and Teachers guide: simple ideas for using the set, including follow the day, place the cards, listen first and one at a time
